Bears, DT Walker agree on 5-year deal (AP)
The Chicago Bears and defensive tackle Darwin Walker agreed to a five-year, $25 million contract on Tuesday, two days after the team acquired him in a trade with Buffalo. Walker will earn about $2 million this season, plus $8 million to $9 million in bonuses and possibly another $3.5 million in incentives over the length of the contract, according to his agent Albert Irby.

Cowboys WR Glenn has knee scoped (AP)
Dallas Cowboys receiver Terry Glenn had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday, the same day Terrell Owens got a break from practice to rest his sore hamstring. While an MRI showed no serious damage after Glenn hurt his knee in practice Sunday, the decision was made to have the procedure after he kept having pain.

Jaguars C Meester suffers broken ankle (AP)
Jaguars center Brad Meester broke a bone in his right foot and will be sidelined at least eight weeks, the team’s first significant injury this season. Meester was scheduled to have surgery Wednesday. Meester, who has started 108 games for Jacksonville in seven years, injured his foot during the team’s first full-pads practice Monday night.
