Ex-Vikings DL Darrion Scott arrested (AP)
Former Minnesota Vikings defensive lineman Darrion Scott has been arrested after police searched his Eden Prairie residence. Police say Scott was booked into the Hennepin County jail Wednesday on suspicion of assault and malicious punishment of a child. The 26-year-old Scott is a free agent after spending the past four seasons with the Vikings.

Texans place G Weary on injured reserve (AP)
Offensive lineman Fred Weary has agreed in principle to a one-year deal to return to the Houston Texans, his agent said Tuesday. Weary started 12 games for Houston last season before breaking his leg in a loss to Tennessee. He is one of five players from Houston’s inaugural 2002 season who remains on the roster.

Ex-Titans WR Calico faces DUI charges (AP)
Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Tyrone Calico faces indictment on drunken driving charges after a judge Tuesday sent his case to the grand jury. The 2003 second-round pick never lived up to the promise of his 6-foot-4 size and 4.34-second speed in the 40 because of injuries. He was released by the Titans in 2006.

Bills to be paid $78M to play in Toronto (AP)
The Buffalo Bills will receive $78 million — more than double their calculated 2006 operating income — to play eight games in Toronto over the next five years. Panthers add DTs Scott, Walker (AP)
The Carolina Panthers added more depth at defensive tackle with the signing of free agent Ian Scott. The move came a day after the Panthers came to terms with Darwin Walker on a one-year deal. Walker and Scott signed their contracts Tuesday, giving the Panthers’ much needed help on the defensive line.

Eagles sue TO for unpaid bonus money (AP)
The Philadelphia Eagles sued their former wide receiver Terrell Owens for bonus money he has not repaid the team. The suit for nearly $770,000 was filed in U.S. District Court on Monday. Owens lost in arbitration earlier this year, a ruling calling him to repay $1.7 million in bonuses the team paid him when he played in Philadelphia in 2004 and ‘05.

Panthers add DT Darwin Walker (AP)
The Carolina Panthers added depth on their defensive line by agreeing to a one-year deal with free agent Darwin Walker. Walker’s agent, Al Irby, confirmed the deal Monday. The Chicago Bears let Walker go in February. Walker played in 11 games with seven starts in an injury-plagued season with Chicago in 2007.
