New statue, award honor Shula (AP)
In tribute to Don Shula, the Miami Dolphins have a new statue and address, and the NFL has a new award. The statue of Shula in front of the Dolphins' new stadium offices was unveiled before Sunday's Pro Bowl. The Dolphins announced the address of the offices will be 347 Don Shula Drive, in recognition of his NFL-record 347 victories.

Rex Ryan sorry for gesture at MMA event (AP)
New York Jets coach Rex Ryan apologized Sunday for making an obscene gesture at a mixed martial arts event. Ryan was booed Saturday night while doing a TV interview at the MMA event in the Bank Atlantic Center, the Florida Panthers' home arena. He was smiling when caught making the gesture by a cell phone camera.

La. governor looking into ‘Who Dat’ suit (AP)
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is getting into the "Who Dat" fray with the NFL, asking the state attorney general to look into a possible lawsuit over the ownership rights to the popular New Orleans Saints phrase. Jindal spokesman Kyle Plotkin says the governor's executive counsel contacted Attorney General Buddy Caldwell's office Saturday.

Ravens hire Zorn as quarterbacks coach (AP)
Former Washington Redskins head coach Jim Zorn has been hired by the Baltimore Ravens to be their quarterbacks coach. Zorn takes over for Hue Jackson, who left to become offensive coordinator of the Oakland Raiders. Zorn was fired earlier this month by the Redskins after two seasons as their head coach.

Former Eagles star Brookshier dies at 78 (AP)
Tom Brookshier, an All-Pro defensive back who played on the Philadelphia Eagles' 1960 championship team, has died. He was 78. The Eagles said that Brookshier had cancer and died Friday night. Brookshier had 20 interceptions in seven seasons with the team, earning All-Pro honors in 1959 and 1960. Eagles Hall of Famer chuck Bednarik called him a leader on the field and in the locker room, and said…

Leinart aims to fill void left by Warner (AP)
Life after Kurt Warner has begun for the Arizona Cardinals with Matt Leinart stepping into that giant void at quarterback. Leinart watched for 2 1/2 seasons while Warner took the team to a level of success long-suffering Cardinals fans had never dared to even imagine: two NFC West championships, consecutive winning seasons and, of course, a Super Bowl.

Peppers: I could end up anywhere in 2010 (AP)
The Pro Bowl means a $1.5 million bonus for Julius Peppers, which will tide him over until the next paycheck. He says he has no idea who will be writing it. "Anywhere is a potential landing spot," the Carolina Panthers' defensive end said following the final practice for the NFC all-stars Saturday.
